When you want to achieve a goal, it is important that you remove things from your life that prevent you from achieving that goal and bring things in that help you.
Everyone has free time. If you don’t, then you are probably wasting it on things you don’t realize you are wasting it on. A lot of people waste their free time on bad television shows. These include the news (yes that is bad television) and trashy reality shows (few of these are actually worth watching).
Instead, I’d advise you to trade in some of your TV time for a show called The Biggest Loser.
The Biggest Loser is a reality TV competition where obese people try to lose weight, but it is much more than that. Most reality shows are gimmicky; they exploit the pain of their socially maladjusted contests without helping them, but not this one. This show aims to inspire people to make positive changes in their lives and is full of information that is applicable for anyone trying to get healthy or wanting to learn how to achieve a goal.
When I first saw it I was shocked. I didn’t believe a TV show like this could exist because, by all accounts, most television shows are utter garbage. But this one is actually motivating. It’s on Tuesdays at 8PM EST on NBC in the fall. If you don’t catch it live, get it on DVD starting with season 10.
Here are some clips to give you an idea of what to expect.
At the end of the day, motivation is good, but if it doesn’t get results, it’s not very useful. And that’s just what The Biggest Loser does; get results. Some of the sickest people on Earth go on the show and are able to actually change their lives. Because support is so important in achieving goals, they have The Biggest Loser Club.

Watch this with your family or friends, maybe even over a meal, and see how things change in your life.
